Privacy Policy
Last updated July 21, 2026 · Governing law: England and Wales
This policy explains how HUNTER & MORRISONS LIMITED ("Viewly", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use our home-viewing and buyer-checklist software at huntermorrisoons.shop.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is HUNTER & MORRISONS LIMITED, 8 Black Hill Industrial Estate, Lerwick, ZE1 0PZ, United Kingdom. For any privacy request, contact support@huntermorrisoons.shop or call +44 7979027281.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address and authentication details when you create an account.
- Subscription data: plan, billing status and payment confirmations. Card details are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Studio inputs (your user input): the property details, budget parameters, concerns and any example text you enter as user input to generate checklists, questions, compares and recaps.
- Generated output: the generated output produced from your input — the checklists, compares, diagrams and recaps. Viewly does not require file or document uploads; if we later add optional uploads, the same handling, retention and deletion terms in this policy apply.
- Support data: messages, topic and contact details you send us.
- Technical data: device, browser and usage information collected to run and secure the service.
3. Where the data comes from (collection sources)
Our collection sources are: (a) data you provide directly when you sign up, enter user input in the studio, subscribe or contact us; and (b) technical data collected automatically by our hosting and analytics tooling as you use the site. We do not buy personal data from third-party collection sources.
3a. How we handle your AI input and generated output
Your user input is sent to the generation engine solely to produce your generated output. Where an external AI provider is configured, your input is transmitted to that AI provider only to fulfil your request and return the result; the AI provider acts as a processor under contract. We do not use your user input or generated output to train AI models. You can delete your input and generated output at any time (see retention below), and we minimise how long sensitive property and financial input is kept.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To provide the service (generate checklists, compares and recaps, run your account) — performance of a contract.
- To take payment for subscriptions — performance of a contract.
- To provide support and respond to you — legitimate interests and contract.
- To secure and improve the service — legitimate interests.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
Property and financial details you enter are treated as sensitive; we minimise what we keep and use it only to produce your results.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small set of processors, each bound by contract to protect your data:
- Hosting & infrastructure — to run the website and store data.
- Payment — Stripe, to process subscription payments. Stripe never gives us your full card number.
- Email — to send account, receipt and support emails.
- AI provider (where configured) — an AI provider that processes your user input to produce your generated output. It acts as a processor and does not use your data to train models.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Model training
We do not use your studio inputs or generated results to train AI models.
7. International transfers
Some processors may handle data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Account and subscription records: for the life of your account and as required for tax and accounting afterwards.
- Studio inputs and generated results: kept while your account is active so you can revisit them; deleted on request or after account closure.
- Support messages: kept only as long as needed to resolve and evidence the matter.
You can ask us to delete your inputs and results at any time.
9. Your rights (UK GDPR & EU GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To exercise any right, email support@huntermorrisoons.shop. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
10. California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email support@huntermorrisoons.shop. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11. Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us with any preference.
12. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the service and limited analytics to understand usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
13. Automated decisions and children
Viewly produces suggestions from your inputs but does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. The service is for adult home buyers: it is not for children under 13, and 13–17 year-olds should only use it with a parent or guardian's consent.
14. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of any breach as required.
